One of many Bay Islands, Utila is one of the greatest, because of its cheap open water courses in the Caribbean, that certify more new divers than anywhere else in the world. Besides water activities, visitors can hike or horse ride through the jungle, explore caves, and climb to the top of Pumpkin Hill to enjoy the amazing view.

The largest lake on Honduras, Lake Yojoa (which is in central Honduras, and is the only natural lake in Honduras) is ideal for fishing and birdwatching because of its abundance of fish and birds. Visitors can also enjoy swimming in hot springs, exploring caves, hiking to majestic waterfalls, touring coffee plantations, and exploring ancient Mayan ruins, plus there are many hotels and restaurants in the area if you wish to try out some food, and maybe stay for a night or two.

The island of Guanaja offers visitors an ideal escape where they can relax by the water or perhaps engage in fun outdoor activities. Guanaja has year-round warm temperatures, high visibility levels of nearby coral, and the ocean waters surrounding Guanaja are great for diving and snorkeling. Other activities include jungle trekking, hiking to Grant’s peak, viewing grand waterfalls, and exploring various shops, restaurants, and culture around the local villages.
